Raquel Souza

Raquel Souza is a PhD candidate; she holds a BA in Communication Science and a MA in Anglo-American studies from the University of Porto. Her research interest resides on the influence of American culture on horror films, mainly in the Slasher subgenre. She is also a former Junior Researcher in Anglo-American Studies at CETAPS. Currently, she has been collaborating with the center by using digital tools and digital humanities methods to study horror films and how they are connected to cultural aspects.
