Dr Alice Sage
Dr Alice Sage is a cultural historian and curator, specialising in childhood, filmmaking, fantasy and material culture. She has held curatorial roles at the Young V&A, Edinburgh Museums and the National Trust. In 2014, she curated the international touring exhibition Small Stories: at home in a dolls’ house , followed in 2016 by Clangers, Bagpuss & Co . Her PhD uncovered the world of children’s performance in the 1920s, and the darkness of loss, nightmares and fairies after the First World War. Wherever she goes and whatever job she does, she is always drawn back to the domain of miniatures.
